Discover this place
The Galley Fish and Chips, located at 1225 Roeder Ave in Bellingham, WA, stands out as a premier seafood restaurant, celebrated for its exceptional offerings. This food truck delights patrons with its crispy and flaky fish, particularly the highly recommended Halibut and Chips, which many customers rave about. The light batter enlivens the subtly sweet flavor of fresh halibut, creating a heavenly bite.
Revel in the well-seasoned dishes, including the popular soft shell crab burger and lobster roll, both noted for their delightful crunch and fresh ingredients. As Adam Nedley highlights, the chips are perfectly cooked—golden and crunchy on the outside, yet fluffy on the inside, reminiscent of traditional British fare.

The Galley doesn’t just focus on taste; their homemade tartar sauce and the option for a Galley Platter let you savor a variety of flavors—from shrimp to oysters. A meal here feels both indulgent and satisfying; patrons like Jayson Schindler affirm that it's arguably the best fish and chips in Whatcom County. Got the Halibut & Chips, which the nice man who was working there recommended as it's in season. What can I say but DELICIOUS! Light and flaky fish, golden and crispy fried. The chips were great too, probably triple fried or something with the nice crunchy outside and pillowy potatoes within. Really liked the tartar sauce as well, I wonder if they make it from scratch? Also, if you eat at the tables near the truck you can enjoy a nice view of the bay and some fresh air. I highly recommend checking this place out!
We were headed to Stones Throw for a growler and were pleasantly surprised that Galley2Go was the food truck for tonight. We ditched our original plan for dinner and had a fun Friday night meal. The soft shell crab burger was crispy, well seasoned and even had an heirloom tomato ! Lobster roll did not disappoint. We even had the coconut prawn appetizer and the sauce it came with was the perfect accompaniment. 10/10 will go again.
This fine establishment consistently serves great meals. Have had most of the menu so far and have yet to be disappointed. Best fish and chips I have had in Whatcom county. The calamari is great too!
Had a friend turn me onto this food truck. Great fish and chips down by the water. Make sure to ask if they have salmon and halibut, as they do get their fish fresh and they might be out. Doesn’t take but 10 minutes or less to get your food. They have some outdoor tables, no indoor seating so just keep that in mind. But they do take credit cards and the outside seating is nice when the weather permits.
This is the way fish and chips are supposed to be done. I had difficulty choosing between the Halibut 2 piece or the Galley Platter. Why not get a platter and taste everything they offer, even if it's cod. The batter is simply delicious. The shrimps are fairly large and you get three pieces. The oysters were battered lightly so you could definitely taste the plump sized oyster. The cod itself was a large portion of two pieces of golden brown and not overly battered. The fries were also crispy on the outside. This platter is fairly large. For the price it's worth every penny.
What a great find! Not only great seafood at awesome prices but a place to buy a hot meal too! I will be headed back ASAP! Picked up king salmon and made 3 meals out of it including chowder. Super Friendly staff too!
Heard it was good so here we are! Kelly is the fish and chips reviewer extraordinaire and she says: “Good and fresh. Well seasoned. Generous portion for sharing.” Lots of parking. Trains roll by periodically which we like. I love Oysters so got the Galley plate which includes Cod, Shrimp and Oysters. Yummy.
Last Saturday was my first time here & I was extremely impressed with the food! I had the halibut fish tacos & they were the best I'd ever had! Great flavors & the salsa was very tasty as well! My friend had the fish & chips & they were also very good! I will definitely go here more often! I highly recommend checking this place out if you are a fan of local seafood! It is phenomenal!
